Don't play with hairspray, kids.

The day was an uneventful one. John and I hung out in his grandmother's apartment for a few hours. No music, crappy television channels, nothing to occupy our time with. But hey, we made the most of what we had. John showed off his homemade flamethrower, and that gave us a few ideas. Stupidly funny ideas for shows in the future. We have no lives.

* Remember kids, don't play with fire- especially indoors. We are practiced idiots.

Also, I put up an image on the right side of this page supporting the Purple Ribbon Campaign. Please spread the word and help stop the suffering of countless children across the world. Domestic violence has to stop.

Morning practices..

We started practice today at 10 a.m. and let me tell you, morning practices are a killer sometimes. Between getting over sickness and that whole morning voice thing, I sounded like crap. But hey, that's just how it goes, I guess.

Red Bull is really the only thing that gets me up and moving that early. Even coffee doesn't do the trick anymore.. Guess I'm a caffeine addict. Wonderful. That's how I get through my gigs too. I drink Red Bull before and during the act. A few people have joked around saying that I'd be the perfect spokesperson for the drink. And they are right. Very right. I haven't decided whether this is a good thing or a bad thing quite yet.

We tried ringing Timmy up today but wound up with his voicemail, so I left a message. It probably won't be until after the holidays when we meet up. That's fine though. We've all got our separate schedules.

We'll get it all together in time. Hopefully soon.

A casual night out. Nothing too exciting.

And here we've got a very unflattering picture of the John-o-monster. (If he doesn't like it, oh well. He'll get over it.)

Our evening was spent at the high school working the lights and microphones for the elementary and middle school kids' Christmas concert. Well, he did the sound stuff while I drank a soda and ate chocolate mint candies. I did a little bit of lighting stuff.. whatever was in front of me. Not that anything hard needed to be done. We just kind of sat in the back and BS'ed with Sheila, whom we went to school with a couple years ago, and this really cool couple standing behind us. I never did get their names.

PEPPERONI PIZZA ALL THE TIME!

And then afterward, we made our way down to the coffee shop where we sat and talked for a while. It was cool, other than the fact that I kept getting this feeling that a few people on the other side of the room were watching me. But anyway, we talked about our ideas for music and random things to do. We still need to call Timmy and see when he wants to get together and jam. We've been holding off too long on the guy. I feel bad about it, but what can I say? I've been sick for over a week now.

I really hate this runny nose and lack of energy. The only good thing that's coming out of my being sick is the crazy Arch Enemy vocals. I pulled off "Ravenous" with a friend's band not too long ago, and it turned out to be amazing. But that's a story for another day, I suppose.

But for now, it's bed time. Happy Yule!

Later.

A peak into my journal.

But who the fuck am I
To think that angels fall for me?
A neverending cycle
Just return me to the way I used to be

Sin's Fate has hit Blogger!

Hello, hello, hello!

I am Kourtney, the sarcastic vocalist for Sin's Fate (metal band in the making). After a week or so of contemplating, I have finally decided to bring our little ventures to Blogger.

Why haven't I decided to do this sooner?

I don't know... I'm a lazy ass. Good enough answer, I suppose.

At the moment, we are just an acoustic duo (John and myself), and we're looking for talented young musicians in and around the Penn-York valley. We've got a few ideas and a few people whom we may possibly ask to join us. But there are so many people we've yet to meet. (If you're interested, send me an email at Raivyn@netzero.com)

It's about time for me to head off to bed though, as I should have done hours ago. What was I thinking?! I have to wake up early!

One last thing...
If you come across this blog anytime soon, LEAVE A COMMENT AND WISH ME A HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAMN IT!

I'm a charming one, aren't I?

Later.
